Life safety systems are inspected, not assumed

How often does a fire alarm system need to be tested in Ontario?
The Ontario Fire Code requires annual testing of the complete system, with additional monthly and periodic checks that vary by system type and occupancy. Emergency lighting requires a monthly functional check and an annual full-duration load test. We perform the annual work and provide your staff with a documented procedure for the interim owner checks.
What does an annual inspection cost?
Cost is driven primarily by device count and building size, plus access considerations such as high ceilings requiring lift equipment or suites requiring scheduled entry. We quote a fixed inspection price based on your device schedule, so there is no hourly surprise, and deficiency repairs are quoted separately for your approval.
Will testing disrupt our tenants or customers?

Can you fix the deficiencies you find?

Our fire alarm panel is obsolete. Do we have to replace the whole system?
Not always. Many older systems can continue in service if parts remain available and the system tests correctly. When the manufacturer no longer supports the panel or parts have become unobtainable, replacement becomes the practical option. We assess honestly and, where replacement is warranted, plan it in phases with the existing system kept operational throughout.
