Situations that change the job

Hot tub on an existing deck

The most common job we see. Usually the challenge isn't the tub itself, it's getting a code-compliant disconnect and GFCI breaker path from the panel to the deck without an ugly conduit run across the siding, and confirming the deck structure can actually support a filled tub's weight before we even start on the wiring side.

Above-ground pools

Bonding still applies even though there's no concrete shell — the pump, any metal ladder, and the pool wall structure (if it has a metal frame) all need to be tied into the bonding grid. A lot of DIY above-ground pool installs skip this step entirely, which is one of the more common code violations we find when we're called in after the fact.

Inground pools in newer subdivisions

Woodhaven and similar newer areas usually have panels with enough spare capacity, but the bonding grid work is more extensive since it covers the full pool structure, deck hardware, and sometimes a separate equipment pad some distance from the house, which means longer conduit and bonding conductor runs.

Older properties with older panels

Century homes and older bungalows sometimes need a panel upgrade or at minimum a load calculation showing there's room for a 50A pool circuit alongside everything else already running off that panel. We check this before quoting the pool-specific work so there are no surprises partway through.
